Announcing the Launch of the Women Lead Grant Programme!
Inspired by the resilience of women in Ukraine, we're excited to introduce the Women Lead grant programme, a joint initiative by UFU and the Nobel Women Initiative. Women Lead aims to empower female entrepreneurs and women-led initiatives to contribute to Ukraine's sustainable recovery.
The Women Lead programme spans two years, from 2023 to 2025. It will offer grants ranging from EUR 5,000 to 30,000 for six to twelve months to women-led projects in Ukraine that focus on three essential pillars: Healthcare and Well-being, Education, and Sustainable Entrepreneurship. The programme fosters sustainable economic growth and positive social impact in the nation by supporting women who drive positive change across these pillars, bolstering female entrepreneurs and thereby advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Prospective applicants should be registered women-led organisations or women entrepreneurs in Ukraine. Additionally, these entities should be managed by Ukrainian individuals, working for the benefit of Ukrainians, and predominantly governed, led, and/or directed by Ukrainian women. Commitment to advancing women's rights, gender equality, and feminist values is essential. If you are or know of any registered women-led organisations or female entrepreneurs based in Ukraine, please let them know of this opportunity.
The application period for the 2023 cycle is open until August 25.
Women Lead emerged from a journey of NWI and UFU representatives to Ukraine and Poland in June 2022. It resulted in a powerful documentary, "Oh Sister!" and a commitment to support the women of Ukraine with more than just raising awareness of their struggle.
