WHY - THE PROBLEM
The sustainable economic recovery of Ukraine and economic growth can only be achieved if governments, businesses, and individuals effectively master sustainable business transitions and practices. For this, education and training systems are necessary to ensure Ukraine has the qualified human capacity to respond to such an ambition and that its practices are aligned with the goals of the European Union. To design an effective educational offering during the ongoing war, it is also essential to consider the practical challenges faced by people within the country and millions of refugees.
WHAT - SOLUTION
The Climate Leadership Academy will be designed and implemented in cooperation with Europe’s leading climate-focused public-private innovation partnership, EIT Climate KIC. Delivered through a technological platform, it will provide the necessary flexibility for Ukrainians within and outside the country to join the programme. It will also provide access to a unique network of Europe’s changemakers. The Climate Leadership Academy will develop Ukrainian leaders to take ownership of sustainability efforts, lead green innovation, and collaborate internationally, enabling them to rebuild resilient, equitable, and environmentally sustainable Ukraine.
